“Going Green” Kicks Off Metro Business Breakfast Series

The year’s momentum stayed in high gear for Metro Business on October 28 with “Going Green: How. Why. And When You Know It’s Time,” the first in a series of four breakfast panels for Jewish professionals on the move. They gathered at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus west of Boca Raton. Ted Deutch, State Senator and Metro member, moderated three Boca Raton-based “Going Green” panelists. Secret Lives of the Jewish Holidays Series Offered by Gold Coast at Library

Weissberg present, “The Secret Lives of the Jewish Holidays: The Mysteries Behind Our Routines and Rituals,” a four-part series, from 10:00 – 11:30 am on Dec. 3, Jan. 14, Feb. 4, and March 4. The Jewish Education Commission's Israel Programs Resource Center, and the Jewish Community Relations Council, of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County are proud and delighted to host the South Florida premiere of a powerful exhibit about a critical yet little known aspect of modern Jewish history. They Came When We Needed Them Most: The Story of Aliyah Bet and Machal, How Americans and Canadians Answered Israel ’s Call in 1948, will be displayed from November 11 to January 30, in the Cultural Arts Building on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus. The JCF develops permanent resources to ensure the continuity of Jewish life, programs and services in our community, and throughout the world, through lasting legacies, by developing permanent endowment funds, lifetime gifts, bequests in wills, trusts and planning giving programs.
